"Flute-apalooza" at McCaw Hall - Saturday, May 7th from 10-1pm

Check out McCaw Hall's “Flute-apalooza” a free community open house event sponsored by Russell Investments featuring...

"live music, guided tours of McCaw Hall, family-friendly activities including a treasure hunt, opera fun, and a giant kazoo orchestra, plus performances by the University of Washington’s Flute Choir and, of course, singers appearing in Seattle Opera’s The Magic Flute."

Schedule of Events is as follows: Please note - all guided tours are fully booked but everything else is available to enjoy!


10:00 AM
• Doors Open with Family Activities throughout the Hall
• Guided Tours of McCaw Hall (RSVP required, see below)

11:00 AM
Musical Performances Begin
• Sound Wave, the official Seattle Sounders Marching Band
• Kazoo Orchestra - everyone can participate
• University of Washington Magic Flutes, led by Professor Donna Shin
• The Magic Flute cast members, in costume, including the Queen of the Night (Mari Moriya) and Papageno (Leigh Melrose)

11:45 AM
• Photos with cast members (bring your own camera!)

12:00 PM
• Family Activities continue throughout the Hall
• Guided Tours of McCaw Hall (RSVP required, see below)
