40th Annual Northwest Folklife Festival at Seattle Center - May 27th-30th

Northwest Folklife Festival will have all kinds of entertainment available to enjoy, including local and international music, dancing, participatory dancing, narrative storytelling, workshops, panels, plus a green/sustainability information area with organic food and sustainable crafts.

And, especially for the kids, you can head to the Folklife Commons & Discovery Zone areas of the festival! They will have dozens of children’s workshops and hands-on activities plus kid friendly entertainment too! Kids can make a musical instrument, a bookmark, build a toy boat, build a boat from milk cartons, learn about claymation, have a string instrument music lesson, not to mention watch trapeze artists, a Caspar Babypants concert, Charlie “The Noise Guy” Williams show and Miho and Diego as well as join in fun, interactive storytimes. The Folklife Commons and Discovery Zone areas are located on the Broad Street Lawn and are open every day from 11AM until 6PM.
